I’m Finally Ready to Try My Second Ontario Online Casino

After more than a year and a half, it’s about time, right?

One of my goals for 2024 is to sign up at a second Ontario online casino to see how it compares to PlayOJO*, the online casino (and only site) where I currently play.

Why have I stuck to playing at only one Ontario Online Casino for so long?

  • I was new to the world of online casinos and just wanted to keep things simple.
  • I’ve been perfectly content with the experience offered at PlayOJO.
  • I don’t personally like wagering requirements and many Ontario online casinos have them.
  • From what I’d seen, it seems that many online casinos offer similar experiences in terms of games, payments, promotions/campaigns, etc.
  • I haven’t felt like going through the KYC/ID verification process again or providing my personal and financial details to another business.

With all that said, here are the top 3 reasons why I’ve decided that now is the time I want to give a second casino a shot. After that, I’ll reveal which one I’ve picked and why.

The Top 3 Reasons I’m Ready to Try a New Ontario Online Casino

I want to compare my current experience with a new one

Now that I’ve got a really good idea and feeling about what it is to play at PlayOJO, I’m ready to find out if I will notice a significant difference between the new experience and the one I’m used to.

What I’m most interested in comparing is:

I want to play different games

PlayOJO offers thousands of games (including over 2,000+ slots). However, this doesn’t mean that it offers games from every industry provider.

I’m most interested in seeing:

  • What games are available at both
  • If there are any differences between games that can be played at both (e.g., speed, quality, RTP, etc.)
  • What games are different and trying out the ones new to me

I want access to different promotional perks

Now that I know the type of promotions offered at PlayOJO, I’m curious to see how promotions at another Ontario online casino compares.

I’m most interested in discovering:

  • The welcome offer
  • Ongoing promotions
  • Loyalty program
  • Any other type of unique perk

Why I picked it

There are several reasons. The most important are:

🌟No wagering requirements – This is the top reason why Betty won out over other Ontario online casinos I was considering. I really, really don’t like wagering requirements. I get why they exist, but I don’t want to jump through hoops to be able to withdraw winnings I feel I’ve won fair and square. Zero playthrough requirements is also why PlayOJO was my top pick for my first online casino experience.  What’s more, since both OJO and Betty have no bonus wagering requirements, this means that I can compare them fairly.

🌟Fast withdrawals – Betty Casino claims to have quick withdrawals, and I quote: “We process your withdrawals automatically 90% of the time”. Sounds good to me! Also, payment options include Interac, Visa, and Mastercard, all three are payments I use and trust.

🌟Interesting promotion system – In addition to the welcome offer, Betty has a loyalty program where you can earn “level points” and “coins” with each spin of the slots you play. The more you play, the more your coins balance increases. When you level up you can supposedly redeem your coins in the Betty Shop and pick your own prizes (free spins or cash).

🌟It’s headquartered in Toronto – This is another huge plus. Most Ontario online casinos are not actually headquartered in Ontario. PlayOJO, for instance, is headquartered in Malta.

Is there anything I’m not wild about?

On the whole? No. However, if I had to get picky (keeping in mind I haven’t signed up or played there yet), I suppose the potential drawbacks for me are:

  • Only slots are offered
  • There isn’t a huge number of games (350)
  • PayPal and Paysafecard are not available

Naturally, none of these things are a major setback, otherwise I wouldn’t even consider joining.

For instance, I don’t mind that only slots are offered, they’re what I play 95% of the time anyway. If at any point I want to play a card game, table game, or the live casino, there’s nothing stopping me from trying my luck at PlayOJO.

As for Betty’s modest number of games, this also isn’t a deal breaker for me at the moment. I usually stick to playing the same slots I like 95% of the time as well.

Finally, while PayPal and Paysafecard aren’t an option, Interac is, which is also fine with me…especially since I can’t withdraw using Paysafe anyway.

When do I plan on signing up at Betty Casino?

Soon! When I do, I will, of course, document my registration, first deposit, and welcome offer experiences in detail and give you my honest opinion about it all, as well as more info about Betty. Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks. 😁

Have you played at Betty?

How about you? Have you played at Betty Casino? Do you like it, and would you recommend it? Do you think there is another Ontario online casino I should try that’s even better? Let me know!

Until next time, good luck and have fun.
