Yes, it is!
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been spending some time playing at Betty Casino* and getting a feel for the brand and what it offers. I dedicated one of these playing experiences to learning more about Betty Coins. This included using them on games and spending them in the Betty Shop.
Wondering about Betty Coins in terms of…
- What they are
- How they work
- How to get them
- How to use them
- If they’re a good perk
If so, keep reading. I’ve got answers to all those questions and whether you should try Betty Coins out for yourself.
👩💻 Mia’s Note: This information is about Betty Coins for Ontario players based on my experience and opinion using them at Betty Casino. My experience may not be the same as yours. Also, always remember that T&Cs apply to all promotions.
Betty Coins – What They Are and How to Use Them
I can admit that when I first signed up at Betty Casino, I didn’t know or think too much about Betty Coins. At first glance it just looked like some VIP scheme where you collect points to level up, and yadda, yadda.
It wasn’t until I learned more about them that I became interested in wanting to use them to see if they’d be any fun or add a little something extra to my Betty experience.
What are Betty Coins
Betty Coins (BC) are virtual currency at Betty Casino.
These coins have no cash value, and they cannot be purchased. Think of them like the virtual currency you earn/are awarded in mobile games that you can redeem in the game to get stuff (e.g., buying items for your character, longer gameplay, access to bonus content, and other perks).
Betty Coins are also a type of gamification loyalty perk. The more you login and the more you play, the more coins you can accumulate. Every player, regardless of their “Betty Status” (the Betty Casino VIP/loyalty rewards program) can collect these coins.
As far as I can tell, the coins don’t expire. They just keep accumulating in your account. Personally, I think that’s great because:
- It means that you’re not pressured to use them by a certain point.
- If you want to use them sometime later, you can.
Ultimately, though, it’s entirely up to you whether you use the coins.
How to Get Betty Coins
These are the different ways in which you can get Betty Coins.
🪙Making real money bets on games
When you play real-money slots, you get Betty Coins. The more you play the more you get. It’s as simple as that. By the way, any real-money spin counts, which means you’ll also get coins with free spins, too.
My first BC were awarded to me when I signed up and used the free spins welcome offer.
🪙Claiming a free ‘Daily Gift’ of Betty Coins
This is one of the easiest ways to get Betty Coins. Login to your account, go to the main lobby (by selecting the icon that looks like a house), and select “Daily Gift”. This will award you with a certain number of coins. You don’t have to do anything to claim them. You just have to accept the reward. A Daily Gift of coins can be claimed once each day. So, even if you don’t plan on playing that day but you want to score some coins, all you need to do is login and claim the Daily Gift.
When I first started playing, my Daily Gift was 500 coins. Once my status improved, my gift bumped up to 1,000 coins.
🪙Spinning the Daily Wheel (once per day)
This is another easy way to get coins. Like the Daily Gift, all you need to do is login to claim it. You’ll find it in the main lobby under Daily Spin. Each segment of the wheel has a different number of Betty Coins. Spinning the wheel awards a random prize. To start, you can win anywhere from 20 coins to 20,000. However, the coin prizes on the wheel increase with higher multipliers. Higher multipliers are unlocked by improving your Betty Status and the more Betty Boxes you open. You can use the Daily Spin once per day.
So far, the most I’ve won on a Daily Spin is 5,000, my average is 500.
🪙Leveling up your Betty Status
Leveling up your Betty Status will not only get you coins, but larger amounts and higher multipliers for the Daily Spin. To advance your status and boost reward amounts, collect status boxes (Betty Boxes). How do you get status boxes? You guessed it, by playing real money slots. Once you have a box, you simply click on it to claim your reward.
My current Betty Status is Amethyst (the first tier of the loyalty program). To maintain my status, I need to collect a minimum of 1 box within 28 days. To upgrade, I need to collect 5 boxes. I’m nearly at my 5 boxes, which means I’ll reach Topaz (second tier) status soon. I have noticed that the more my status has improved, I do get more coins.
🪙Complete Quests for BC prizes
Betty Casino has Quests that you can take part in daily. Completing these quests will award you with Betty Coins. An example of how it works is you bet a total of $25 on a specified game, with a minimum game bet amount of $0.12, within the Quest Period. Completing the Quest will award you 5,000 Betty Coins. Each Quest Period lasts a day (e.g., starts at 12:00 am runs until 11:59 pm).
I’ve yet to try these Quests, but they’re on my to-do list!
🪙Win them by playing Betty Coins games
There is an option to play some slots with Betty Coins. Doing so gives you the chance to win BC. Of course, it also means that you can lose them too since you’re betting with them and, just like real money slots, there is no guarantee that you’ll win. As such, this is the riskiest method of attempting to get more coins.
I have played BC games, but I didn’t have a lot of coins when I did. It didn’t take long for me to lose them all, which I’ll explain in the next section.
How to use Betty Coins
You can use Betty Coins in one of two ways. You can play them on Betty Coins Games or use them in the Betty Shop.
Betty Coins Games
Betty Casino has over 350 slots. Only a small handful of them (just over 30) are available for playing with Betty Coins. To access BC Games:
- Go to the main lobby
- Choose the ‘Play with coins’ option
This will open a new screen. All games listed there can be played with Betty Coins. If you’re an avid online slots player in Ontario, you’ll also likely notice that every one of the games is powered by Pragmatic Play.
Essentially, BC Games function just like a social casino. You use Betty Coins to place bets for the chance to win more coins. Absolutely no real money is involved in playing these games.
Whether you can play a game depends on how many coins you have. Like traditional online slots, each game has a minimum and maximum bet amount. What’s more, the amounts differ among games. For instance, the lowest minimum amount I came across when I played was 500 coins, while the highest minimum bet I saw was 2,000 coins. With minimum bet sizes like these, it’s easy to use up your coins quickly. This goes double when playing high volatility slots.
To put this into great perspective, when I tried out the coin games, I had 14,831 Betty Coins. The first game I played was Starlight Princess 1000, one of my favourite Pragmatic slots. The lowest possible bet for this game is 2,000 coins (BTY 2,000). After 7 spins, I’d already dropped below the minimum coin amount to play.
With only 1,531 coins left, I moved on to Big Bass Bonanza, which had a min bet of 1,000. One spin later I had only 531 coins left and decided to try my luck on Joker’s Jewels Wild, where a spin starts at 500. Two spins later, I didn’t have enough coins to play anymore.
I think my entire playing session lasted maybe 2 minutes. 🤣
Betty Shop
While I can’t speak for other players, I can say for me that the main goal of collecting Betty Coins is to get enough to be able to use them in the Betty Shop. That’s where you can redeem them for real-money free spins on games and for cash.
To access the shop:
- Go to the main lobby (home button)
- Select ‘Shop’
This will open a new screen that will show all the available perks you can get in the shop with your coins. There are more free spins than cash options.
Your eligibility to redeem a perk depends on how many coins you have. For instance, the minimum number of Betty Coins you need to be able to get something in the shop is 5,000. This will get you 5 Free Spins on select games. As for Cash, the smallest amount you can redeem is $10, and this requires 120,000 coins.
Betty Coins Free Spins Redemption
Free Spins are available in different amounts for different games. Examples of the number of spins you can get include**:
- 5 Free Spins (5,000 / 50,000 coins)
- 10 Free Spins (10,000 / 20,000 /40,000 / 60,000 / 100,000 coins)
- 15 Free Spins (30,000 / 75,000 coins)
- 20 Free Spins (160,000 / 600,000 / 800,000 coins)
- 25 Free Spins (50,000 / 500,000 coins)
- 40 Free Spins (320,000 / 400,000 / 1.6 million / 2 million coins)
- 50 Free Spins (1 million coins / 2.5 million coins)
- 100 Free Spins (200,000 coins)
The reason there are different coin costs for each number of spins has to do with the game on which the spins can be played. For instance, it’s only 5,000 for 5 Free Spins on Granny Vs. Zombies Lock N Win, but it’s 50,000 for 5 Free Spins on Fire and Roses Joker.
Once spins are redeemed, you’ll have three options:
- Play spins now – If you choose this, the game will load, your spins are added, and they’ll play through. The value of each spin is the game’s lowest bet amount (this is likely why it costs more coins for the same number of spins on different games).
- Save spins for later – If you choose to save the spins for later, you’ll have two days from the time you first redeemed them to play them. If you don’t play them by then, you’ll lose them, and your coins will have been spent for nothing.
- Reject spins – I believe by rejecting them you lose the spins as well as the coins (although I couldn’t tell you this for certain, because I didn’t want to take a chance rejecting mine to test that theory).
So far, I’ve redeemed 5 Free Spins for 5,000 coins, twice. The first was for the game Granny Vs. Zombies: Lock N Win by PearFiction Studios (Games Global).
My 5 spins had a value of $0.10 each. By the end of my spins I’d won $4.23, not bad considering when I started my bankroll was $0.02!😆
Once the spins are over, you’re then given the option to continue playing with your bankroll. If you choose to do this, you may want to adjust the bet amount. It resets to the default $2.00 bet after the spins are over.
After trying out Granny Vs Zombies, I redeemed another 5 Free Spins (for 5,000 BC) on Divine Drop by Hacksaw Gaming. This time around, I chose to play the spins later. After doing so, I learned that they would expire in two days from the time I redeemed them. I then looked for where to find them and discovered that they were in my Rewards. To access your rewards, go to the main lobby and select the ‘Rewards’ icon. Any waiting rewards you have will be listed in there.
Like Granny Vs. Zombies, when I played the spins, each was worth $0.10. Unlike Granny, however, my spins on Divine Drop got me a whopping 2 cents. 🤣
The cool thing about redeeming my coins on these games is that I got to see what they were like to play for real money, when I otherwise wouldn’t have picked either of my own accord. Turns out that while I’m not a fan of Divine Drop, I really enjoyed playing Granny Vs Zombies Lock N Win. I’ve played it twice since. 👵💣🧟 I like the game’s medium/high volatility, zany theme, and the various features that can be triggered when you play it – especially the Walking Wilds.
Betty Coins Cash Redemption
As for redeeming Cash, there are seven redemption options**:
- $10 (120,000 coins)
- $25 (300,000 coins)
- $50 (600,000 coins)
- $100 (1.2 million coins)
- $200 (2.4 million coins)
- $250 (3 million coins)
- $500 (6 million coins)
I’m assuming cash is simply added to your bankroll once you trade in the coins. I imagine it counts as real money you can use to play on slots and games, or you can withdraw it (after you meet any possible requirements).
I haven’t built up enough Betty Coins yet to get Cash. When I do, and if it’s different from what I’m assuming, I’ll update this section in the future. 😄

Betty Coins – My Final Verdict
While I’m not necessarily a big virtual currency fan, I do like Betty Coins. They are a virtual casino currency with actual value. For me, this perk does make playing at Betty Casino more fun.
I like that I can play the coins on select games if I don’t feel like playing with my bankroll. This is made more fun knowing that if I win more coins, the bigger my BC balance will be, which could mean being able to get more from the shop.
That said, it’s the fact that you can use these coins to redeem Free Spins (for a chance to win real money) and Cash that makes them worthwhile to me. If they only functioned as virtual currency for social casino purposes, they’d hold way less appeal to me.
Are you a Betty Casino player? If so, what do you think of Betty Coins? How do you like to use them and what have you redeemed in the Betty Shop?
Until next time, good luck and have fun.
