This is a fun branded slot for BB fans
Are you a fan of slots and of the AMC (Sony Pictures Television-owned) television series Breaking Bad, like I am? If yes, on both accounts, I think there’s a good chance you might enjoying playing Playtech’s Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link online slot.
Why? Keep reading, and I’ll share my thoughts!
My Opinion of the Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link Slot
Facts about the Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link slot
What is Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link? It’s a 5×3, 30-payline licensed video slot from Playtech Origins.
The game is themed after Vince Gilligan’s critically acclaimed Breaking Bad television series and features some cool elements from it. This doesn’t only include images of some of the show’s main characters like Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Saul Goodman, and Skylar White, but also direct sound quotes and cutscenes from the show as well.
Aside from its theme, this licensed slot has several fun features including:
- Cash Collect – If Coins or Free Spins Coins symbols land on the same spin as a Cash Collect symbol, the coins and/or free spins will be collected.
- Cash Collect Prizes – If you land a prize Coin and Cash Collect on the same spin, you’ll win 1 of the 4 fixed jackpot prizes (Mini, Minor, Major, Grand), selected at random. The prize awarded is a fixed amount based on your current bet.
- Breaking Bad Free Games – If the Cash Collect symbol collects Free Spins Coins, you get the number of free games shown on the coin. During the free spins round, any Cash Collect symbols that land will stick around for 3 spins.
- Heisenberg Collect & Link – If Cash Collect lands at the same time as a LINK or MEGA LINK symbol, the Heisenberg Collect & Link feature triggers. Three respins are awarded and the Cash Collect symbol stays in place. Any Coin symbol that lands will be locked in place and respins will be reset back to 3. All coin values are calculated at the end and added to the total payout.
- Walter’s Stash Grand Prize – If you land 15 coins during the Heisenberg feature, you’ll win the grand prize.
- Magnets B**ch! (love the name of this one 😂) – This feature can activate at random on any non-winning spin. A magnet pops up on the screen and nudges the Cash Collect symbol to trigger the Cash Collect feature, awarding a prize.
Before I get into my opinion on the game, here’s a quick rundown of the main facts.

Why I like the Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link online slot
The simple reason is I love Breaking Bad. It’s one of my all-time favourite TV series for these reasons (which I’ve previously shared on Quora – don’t worry no show spoilers ahead):
- It tells a solid story with a defined beginning, middle and end (all of which makes sense).
- It has believable and compelling characters and excellent character arcs.
- It touches on serious real-life topics.
- It’s emotional – I cared about the characters and understood (though didn’t always agree) with their choices.
- At times it’s funny, sad, terrifying, horrifying, hopeful, devastating and downright hard to watch, but I always wanted to know what would happen next.
- All in all, it’s an incredible piece of television.
As for the actual slots play, I really think Playtech Origins nailed the theme through and trough. For instance, as soon as you load the game, an image of Heisenberg (aka Walter White) pops up on the screen followed by an audio quote: “We’re just getting started. Nothing stops this train. Nothing!”
Other ways I feel the game has done a great job with the theme include:
- Soundtrack
- Reel images/symbols
- Audio quotes
- Cutscenes
I’ve also played The Walking Dead Cash Collect & Link slot, and – while I love this show as well – this branded slot is no where near as polished theme-wise. It lacks the soundtrack, visuals and hasn’t added any scenes from the show (I wanna see some zombies! 🧟), which is what makes Breaking Bad the better game for me.
In terms of the actual game, I do like the medium-high volatility. Plus, I’m a fan of the stacked wilds, Magnet’s B**ch! and Heisenberg Collect & Link features.
At the moment, Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link is my favourite branded online slot.
What I didn’t like about it
Honestly, I can’t say there was anything about this game I didn’t like. It was a good fit for me, and it’ll likely be a game I play often.
Why I think you’ll like Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link if you’re a slots fan
- It’s got a wide bet range – $0.10 – $500 – making it ideal for tight budgets and high stakes players).
- It has lot of interesting features – Including free spins, cash prizes, random guaranteed wins, in-game jackpot prizes.
- Medium-high volatility – It’s a great compromise for players who aren’t into extreme slots volatility (like me) and those who like anything but low variance.
Why I think you’ll like it if you’re a Breaking Bad Fan
- Soundtrack – It’s similar to the show.
- Audio quotes and sound effects – It features some of the show’s most iconic lines.
- Great images – Including characters and other key stuff from the show like the RV and the chemical elements from the periodic table.
- Cutscenes – For instance, before the Heisenberg Collect & Link feature begins, Water White appears and says, “Say my name”. When the feature ends he says, “You’re goddam right.”
Have you played Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link? What did you or didn’t you like about it? Let me know!
Also, whether you’ve played this game or not, if you have a favourite branded/licensed online slot, I’d love to know what it is. 😁
Until next time, good luck and have fun.
