I’m Looking Forward to My June Online Gaming Experience

Happy First Week of June! I’ve always liked the month of June. Typically, in Ontario – at least the region where I live – the temperature is overall warm without being too hot and humid, everything is green🌳, in full bloom🌼, and it’s sunny more often than it’s not☀️. This makes it a great time to enjoy playing online casino games outdoors on my deck👒🕶️.

I know, I know, I’ve already said in a previous post that I restrict my playing to a single area of my home. About 95% of the time this is true. However, being human, I’m not perfect🤪 and I do break from my rule on really nice days when playing on my deck with a glass of iced tea or limeade (which is far better than lemonade IMO) is too tempting to resist.

Admittedly, I don’t know how much time I’m going to spend playing on my deck this June with the level of smog in the air due to all the smoke from the terrible forest fires in Quebec. ☹️🌲🔥

Right, so my little blathering about June aside, let’s get to the point of this post. There are some casino games I’m excited to play this month. Some are new, some I just haven’t tried yet.

The Top 5 Casino Games I Want to Play This Month

Sweet Bonanza
Pragmatic Play (release date: June 2019)

I’ve always had a sweet tooth and I find the bright colours and fun graphics of the Sweet Bonanza slot appealing.  I’ve heard a lot of good things about this online slot, and I like that it’s a tumbling video slot with the potential to hit some high multipliers. Though this game is the oldest of the bunch that I intend to try, in many ways it looks just as good – if not better – than some of the new slot release I’ve seen in terms of graphics and the overall features available. I’m guessing that’s why it’s likely stuck around in the popular slots category for so long. Only time will tell if I agree with the fans of this game or if find its looks to be deceiving!

Viking Runecraft Apocalypse
Play’n GO (release date: June 2023)

This game was just released on June 1, which makes it the newest of the casino games in my list. I’m a fan of Play’n GO games, so I have high hopes for this one. I’ve played Viking Runecraft (I’m assuming that’s the original) and enjoyed it enough that I’m kinda sorry it’s not an action-adventure video game like Santa Monica Studio’s God of War (still can’t wait to play God of War Ragnarok🤩). Odin, Thor, Freya, and Heimdall are back again in this grid slot and now they must deal with Loki, who is always a fun antagonist. The feature I’m most interested in unlocking is the “Power of the Aesir”. Once activated it selects one of three bonuses at random. The one I’m hoping to hit is “Thor” which will destroy and transforms 6 to 10 random symbols.

Divine Fortune Megaways
NetEnt (release date: November 2020)

I actually haven’t played the original Divine Fortune game. I considered trying it first, but I’m not one to resist a Megaways option if it’s available, so I figured, what the heck, go BigTimeGaming or go home, right? 😜 Honestly, why the sequel and not the original? Because, this sequel to 2018’s Ancient Greek mythology-themed Divine Fortune not only features BTG’s MegaWays pays mechanic (up to 11,769 Ways to Win), but it’s got Falling Wilds and Wild on Wild features that supposedly up the game’s thrill level. What can I say? I do love me an expanding wild that covers a whole reel!

Disturbed
Nolimit City (release date: May 2023)

I can play a good horror game or watch a good horror movie/show anytime! So, wanting to spin the reels of “Disturbed” is a no brainer for me. Creepy hospital, frightened patients, disturbing experiments, twisted-looking creatures – I’m in!  Of course, as I know slots are rather limited in terms of delivering true horror scares beyond imagery and sounds, this game has also piqued my interest with some of its features like “Enhancer Cells”. This can trigger unique features like “xWays” (a random position becomes xWays affecting all symbols on an xSplit position) or “xSplit” (a random symbol on reel 3 transforms into Mr. Split – the wild symbol, 1 extra symbol will be added on all positions in the same row except for the xSplit – Mr. Split symbol. If xSplit splits in xWays position, an additional xWays symbols is added). Did your eyes just cross reading about those features as much as mine did writing about them?😝

Slingo Starburst
Gaming Realms – Slingo Originals (release date: March 2021)

So, if you’ve read my most recent previous post, you know that I think highly of the Starburst slot. I’ve had my eye on this game for some time but have avoided it because I’ve never played a Slingo game for real money before. I’ve demoed a few Slingo games (not this one) to get a feel for how the game works. It’s an interesting design that really is the perfect marriage between online bingo games and slots. I’m eager to see how much like Startburst this game is and isn’t and whether or not I’ll like it more than the original slot on which it’s based. Though I have my doubts I’ll like it more, I am intrigued by the potential of scoring the Win Spins Bonus.  

I Like to Keep My Casino Games Experience Online Fresh

To keep my online play interesting, I’ve decided that each month, I’m going to pick five new casino games (new releases or those that are simply new to me) to play. At the end of the month, I’ll reveal which of the five was my favourite⭐ and why.

I feel that by sticking to playing games I’ve previously tried for the most part and then adding a few new games into the mix is a great way for me to continuously experience and get excited about new stuff. Whenever I can, I try to avoid playing everything that is accessible to me whenever I want. For me, I get way more of a thrill when I wait, let anticipation build and then experience something for the first time.  Do you do that too, or is that just me?🤣
