It’s time to go live!
Happy first full week of November. I’ve decided to shake things up a bit and instead of picking my usual five games I want to play for the month, I’m going to try live casino games for the first time.
In a previous post about how my live casino experience failed to launch, I explained that I chickened out of playing Lightning Roulette and why. Now, I’ve decided to get my brave on, and extend my gaming journey to the live casino universe.
To start, I’m going to give one game in the blackjack, roulette, and game show categories a try and will be sticking to Evolution Gaming titles (although I believe that there are also live casino games from Pragmatic Play available at PlayOJO for Ontarians – and possibly other providers, though I haven’t investigated that yet).
I’m launching my live casino games experience with these three titles
I’ve decided to begin my live casino games journey with live blackjack, live roulette, and a live game show.
Infinite blackjack
Evolution Gaming (released: 2018)
This is a version of live blackjack that has no limits with a minimum bet of $1, a maximum bet of $2,500, and a maximum win of $250,000. It caught my interest not for the no limit factor, but for the fact that it has low bet limits, unlimited seats, and four side bets: Any Pair, 21+3, Hot 3, and Bust It.
Lightning Roulette
Evolution Gaming (released: 2018)
Lightning Roulette is a version of European Roulette with a game show-style environment that adds RNG Lucky Number wins to every game round. During each game round, between 1 and 5 lucky numbers are struck by lightning and given multiplied payouts of between 50x and 500x. With a wide bet range to suit all budget sizes – a minimum bet as low as $0.20 and a maximum bet as high as $1,000 – Lightning Roulette seems to be the type of game that gives you the chance to enjoy a quick game or hang in there for the long haul. Max win is $175,000. Here’s to hoping I don’t find it as boring as my first roulette experience LOL!
Crazy Time
Evolution Gaming (released: 2020)
While there is no shortage of Evolution live game shows, Crazy Time seemed like a good place to start since it has bonus games, win multipliers and is apparently fun and easy to play and even fun to watch. It’s a money wheel game that features a Top Slot above the money wheel and four bonus games: Cash Hunt, Coin Flip, Pachinko, and Crazy Time. There are lots of cash prizes up for grabs, including a maximum win of $250,000. Plus, while I certainly won’t be in the $5,000 max bet category, I do like that the smallest bet is $0.10. Of all these three live casino games, I’m expecting Crazy Time will be my favourite.
What was the first live casino game you tried?
What about your first live casino games experience? How long did you wait to try it after playing at an online casino? Did you know which game you wanted to try first? Did the experience live up to your expectations?
By the way, if you’re wondering why I didn’t include live baccarat or one of the live poker games in this list, it’s because I still haven’t tried any online version of them yet. Like when I tried blackjack for the first time, I prefer to experience these games in a free-play/demo mode to start to see if I even like them. I don’t just want to bet real money, especially when I feel out of my league.
On a final note, if you are a fan of my “5 Casino Games I want to Try” posts that I make each month, I do plan to continue that in December with my focus being on Christmas/holiday-themed slots.
Until next time, good luck and have fun.
